Here’s a nice thing you can play right now in your internet web browser. It’s called Save the Day, it’s from prolific development studio Denki, and it’s all about helicopters and volcanoes. You’ve got two minutes to fly your helicopter around a volcano, dousing flames and and picking up thousands of old ladies and cats who have become stranded in lava-filled caves and on weird hovering chunks of earth. Drop them off to build up a score multiplier and unlock more areas of the map, and enjoy the intense Donna Summer-esque soundtrack, the popping toon visuals and the exciting colours. The colours, they are exciting.
For the record,I also enjoyed the easy listening lounge music in the menu screen.
