Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure adds many superheroes to the game

Scribblenauts is a wonderfully high concept game that surprises more often than it disappoints. You solve puzzles by conjuring solutions into life simply by typing their name, want to scare a child (who doesn’t) summon Cthulhu to pet the little tyke, or, better yet, a supernova to terrify them into a state of existentialist angst. Unfortunately, Scribblenauts’ dictionary isn’t bottomless and frequently you’ll find things you’d expect to be in the game’s vocabulary to be missing.

A new expansion for the game aims to expand the dictionary in one particular direction, DC superheroes.

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure will bring 2,000 caped folk to Scribblenauts, there’ll be 33 different Batmans (or should that be Batmen?) and 130 iterations of The Green Lantern to play with.

It’s a truly massive addition to the game.

You’ll even be able to add your own heroes to the game using the bundled object editor. That’s hooked up to Steam, too, so you can share your hero with other players.

It’s due out later this year, likely in fall time.

Cheers, Escapist.
