Where do you stand on old-school 2D fighters? If you answered with a 'Yes', 'Hadouken!', or a shrill cry of excitement then listen up: a new one is coming out on Steam Early Access today and we're giving away it to 25 lucky winners for free. We're good like that.
It's called Slashers: The Power Battle, which may sound like a Guns N' Roses tribute band, but we can confirm it is not. It's a fighting game that takes inspiration from Street Fighter 3, Last Blade, Samurai Shodown, and Guilty Gear. So expect it to be fast, fluid, and tactical.
At the moment it has 11 fighters that each have their own movement and fighting styles - all with blades of some kind, hence the title - but more will be added for free as DLC further into the game's development. Plus, you can create and customise your own fighter in Slashers' "Journey Mode."
On top of that, Slashers has multiple game modes, including versus, online play, tutorials, and combo challenges. It's also possible to create your own combos so that you can throw in parries to really throw your opponent off, and then finish them off with a devastating tornado of kicks and slashes.
Now then, if you want to be in with a chance of winning a Steam key for Slashers: The Power Battle, you'll need to enter using the widget below. Every action you complete is worth one entry into the giveaway, and the more actions you complete the more chance you'll have of winning. We'll also need your email address so we can send you the ticket upon winning - we won't send you spam, we promise.
