Star Citizen achieves both it’s Kickstarter goal and $2m target

It took only a few days for Chris Roberts’ ambitious space combat simulator to effortlessly glide past its Kickstarter target of $500,000 and, with 25 days left to go and an extra $89,000 already pledged, it looks set to seriously exceed its original expectations.

Thanks to both VG24/7 for the news and also RockPaperShotgun, who use Mathematics to point out that the $1.41m pledged on the Roberts Space Industries site means the game has now gathered the $2m in pledges that Roberts was hoping for. It looks like we’ll have the chance to become Star Citizens after all.
