Star Wars Battlefront 2 has triple the locations, heroes, and vehicles of its predecessor

Star Wars Battlefront 2

EA have released a new trailer for Star Wars Battlefront II, documenting an exhaustive list of all of the content coming to the game. The video, narrated by John Boyega, shows off the game’s modes, weapons, heroes, and a whole lot more.

Star Wars Battlefront II’s Starfighter Assault mode is the best kind of fan service.

Boyega starts off by telling us that Battlefront II will contain nearly triple the content of the original game. In total, there are 18 locations, 14 playable heroes, and 39 pilotable vehicles coming to the game. That’s compared to six heroes, 11 vehicles, and just four locations from the original game.

Locations will range from fan-favourites from the films, like Yavin 4, to other locations from films that may have been slightly less popular, like Attack of the Clones’ Kamino. There’ll also be never-before-seen locations, like Fondor, to explore. That means the locations alone cover all three Star Wars eras.

Battlefront II also introduces class gameplay, with four classes per in-game faction. Those are assault, heavy, specialist, and officer. They all have unique weapons and abilities, and the better you play as them, the more battle points you’ll have to unlock powerful support units, like Flame Troopers and Wookies, as well as the game’s unique heroes.

As well as the game’s single-player campaign, there are five multiplayer modes; Starfighter Assault, Galactic Assault, Blast, Strike, and Heroes vs Villains, which pits heroes from both sides of the force against one another. There’s also an arcade mode, as well as two-player split-screen.

You can check out the full trailer above. Star Wars Battlefront II will release on November 17, 2017.
