These great PC games are going cheap for charity

Remembrance Day, also known as Armistice Day and Veterans Day, is the time of year where the world remembers those who lost their lives in World War I. With November 11 just a few days away now, two charities have teamed up once again to raise money to support children affected by conflict around the world.

The two charities, War Child UK and Children in Conflict, have partnered with a number of game developers as part of the Armistice 2019 campaign. Games such as Sunless Skies, Democracy 3, 80 Days, the Sorcery series, the Broken Sword series, the Oddworld series, Mini Metro, and 11-11: Memories Retold’s War Child DLC are discounted, while also donating a cut of the proceeds to the charities.

Sunless Skies, for example, is discounted by 30%, with developer Failbetter donating 30% of its cut. Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, meanwhile, is 75% off with 40% of the developer’s proceeds going to charity. Sunless Skies is also getting a new update as part of the promotion, introducing a new mascot.

Finally, gaming YouTube channel Outside Xbox will host a livestream with comedians Steve McNeil, Bec Hill, and Jake Lambert as part of Armistice 2019. The livestream begins on November 12 at 08:00 PT / 11:00 ET / 16:00 GMT and will last for four hours.
