Bioware have launched a page dedicated to the upcoming 2.2 update, it details the changes and new content that will be coming to Star Wars: The Old Republic.

The two jewels in the crown are Nightmare Mode operations – Terror from Beyond and Legions of Scum and Villainy – buffed out versions of previous missions, now with tougher bosses and added enemy hordes.

As well as the two nightmarish operations, the 2.2 update adds Underworld gear crafting. These objects are tailored towards level 55 players and will be composed of rarer reagents; while harder to build their power is well worth the trouble.

One quite lovely change is a further XP boost for guilds. On top of you 5% guild bonus for being a member of a guild, you’ll receive a further 1% boost to your guild XP and reputation for every 5 members recruited. A good reward for playing with others.

While the site says the release date’s still to be announced, over on the forums Bioware’s Bruce Maclean says the team are on track for an 11 June release date.

Cheers, VG247.
