The Bard’s Tale IV is fully funded

The Bard's Tale IV Kickstarter funded

Brian Fargo and inXile’s latest Kickstarter attempt is a success, with The Bard’s Tale IV having raised its target goal in just a few days. With a further 25 days left on the Kickstarter campaign, we’re now just sitting in wait to see how many stretch goals it can surpass.

Earlier this morning the campaign ticked past it’s $1.25 million goal, with the current funding sitting at $1,253,687.

“On the 30th anniversary of the original, it’s so exciting to know we’ll be making a long-awaited true dungeon crawl sequel. Once again the support of our fans has blown us away, and we will put all our effort into making this the RPG they want and deserve, just as we did with Wasteland 2 and are doing with Torment: Tides of Numenera. Our fans prove once again that the classic single player cRPG genre is far from being dead, long live the RPG!” said Brian Fargo, CEO of inXile Entertainment.

This will be inXile and Fargo’s third successful re-launch of a classic IP, and one of a whole bunch of nostalgic games that have been resurrected in the Kickstarter ‘revolution’.
