Bossa Studios, the team behind Worlds Adrift and Surgeon Simulator, as well as the iconic I Am Bread, have announced their new game, The Bradwell Conspiracy. Billed as a story driven first-person narrative adventure, there is, as yet, no release date for The Bradwell Conspiracy.
A teaser trailer, which you can watch below, introduces Bradwell Electronics, a fictional tech company. The trailer shows off a recruitment advert for the company, with the kind of overly-optimistic tone you might find hidden in a Fallout game, albeit with a somewhat modern-day twist.
That said, it doesn’t take long before things start to go wrong, and the advert becomes corrupted. Those cheerful phrases about ‘shaping your future’ and ‘a wealth of career’ paths are quickly twisted, and that slick presentation replaced with shots of a ruined corporate headquarters. The presentation stumbles on, of course, but it ends on a suitably eerie note. If you listen carefully at the end, you can hear a woman calling out for help, which really adds to that whole ‘corporate dystopia’ vibe.
The Bradwell Conspiracy is being developed by a brand new Bossa team, featuring veterans from the likes of Fable, Batman, and Tomb Raider. Voice talent will include Abukabar Salim, who voiced Bayek in Assassin’s Creed Origins, as well as TV’s Jonathan Ross.
A press release says that players take on the role of a confused, disoriented protagonist who wakes up in the aftermath of an explosion. There’s apparently only one survivor, Amber – presumably the woman from the trailer – and the only way to communicate with her is though a pair of AR Smart Glasses. As you work together to escape, you’ll uncover the disturbing secrets buried within Bradwell Electronics.
There’s currently no release date set for The Bradwell Conspiracy, but you can check out the trailer in the video above.
