October is upon us, and that means it’s time to get all spooktacular with your video games. (Yes, I prefer to make cartoon-appropriate puns around horror.) The Evil Within 2 launches this Friday the 13th, and with little over a week to go until the new horror opus, Bethesda have provided a set of system requirements.

Looking for an edge on the ugly beasts? Check out our Evil Within 2 guide.

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 / AMD FX-8320 or better
  • 8 GB RAM, 40GB free HDD space
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD 7970 3GB or better

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 7/8.1/10 (64-bit versions)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-4770 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600X or better
  • 16 GB RAM, 40GB free HDD space
  • GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB / AMD RX 480 8GB or better

The Evil Within 2 comes from the mind of Shinji Mikami, who redefined horror gaming - twice - with his work on Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4. The first game was a flawed piece with loads of interesting wrinkles, and the sequel looks to be addressing those flaws while expanding into an open world setting.
