The Town of Light is getting an enhanced edition on June 6

Last year’s story-driven first-person adventure, The Town of Light, is getting a shiny new upgrade for the PC version to coincide with its impending June 6 release on PS4 and Xbox One. The dark and disturbing tale of Renée, a 16-year-old girl who suffers from the symptoms of mental illness, picked up a fair few awards including indieDB Editor’s Choice 2015 award for best visuals and Game Connection Paris 2014 award for best narrative. The release of this enhanced version will also coincide with the release of the single ‘I Will Find You’ from Icelandic singer-songwriter Sóley, which can be heard in the rather haunting live-action trailer above.

In terms of the actual upgrades, this new version will include a host of fresh puzzles, new story-supporting content, reworked voiceover dialogue, additional interactive elements and a huge graphical and UI overhaul. Those who already own The Town of Light will automatically receive the upgraded version.

For anyone wanting to wait until release to pick it up, the new version will be launching for $19.99/£15.99 in both physical and digital formats. If you can’t wait, you can grab it on Steam right now for $18.99/£13.99.
