Four-way free-for-all multiplayer battles are confirmed for Total War: Warhammer 2

Total War: Warhammer 2

Total War: Warhammer is coming back, and this time it’s even more warlike. In fact, there’s no room for diplomacy in the newly-announced free-for-all multiplayer mode.

These four-player throwdowns will take place on bespoke maps designed to funnel players into conflict, and will dish out points based on damage done, with the winner being the savviest aggressor or the last force standing.

The battles will only work for four players, however, so don’t even think about jumping into a three-way fight and making a sly alliance.

Creative Assembly announced the news on Facebook.

“It’s set to be a lot of fun, and we’re pleased to feature it,” they say, following up with a couple of caveats. “Just a few quick additional notes – FFA is only available in multiplayer battle list, only available as a four player mode, and as always these are our current development plans but may all change as development and testing progresses.”
