Twitch Prime launched only a week ago, but the video streaming service has already started to reap huge benefits. In fact, there have already been 500,000 new subscriptions since launch.
Which from our list of the best sandbox games would you like to watch on Twitch most?
No doubt much of this success can be put down to Twitch Prime coming as a benefit to anyone subscribed to Amazon Prime. Twitch owners Amazon are cleverly tapping into their retail audience and migrating them over.
As an Amazon Prime customer, just having access to Twitch streams without adverts would be a nice little bonus, but there are a bunch of other benefits to subscribing to Twitch Prime. You get free games, free in-game items – they’re even offing a Hearthstone hero at the moment – and you even get a rolling sub to the streamer of your choice.
This last point has led to a spike in new subs, clearly, with some Twitch partners “doubling, tripling, quadrupling their sub count” since last week, according to a tweet by Twitch eSports VR Justin Wong, which you can see below.
Almost 500k new subscriptions since Twitch Prime. Partners report doubling, tripling, quadrupling their sub count (some higher). Hell yeah.
