Unturned will probably be familiar at first. It dumps you in the middle of a zombie apocalypse where you’re encouraged to shoot the undead and hunt animals for food. Its world and the creatures within it are also all made of blocks.
You’ve seen this before, sure. But you’ll soon find its systems keep growing until it engorges every modern, popular online game from Minecraft to DayZ. You can arrest and blindfold bandits, drive planes and boats, build strongholds from which to stave off the hordes, plant crops, learn to breathe fire, go into PvP to test your skills, or cooperate with your friends through the story.
That’s not to mention the mods that the game’s community have been working on for a while now. It’s a huge game that’s only recently left Early Access after three years of feedback, and will continue to grow over the coming months and years, too. All of this, and Unturned is still free to download and start playing.
