Wasteland 2 video shows off isometric perspective, “camera angle diversity”

“Here’s footage from WL2 that shows off camera angle diversity,” says Brian Fargo on Twitter. “Don’t worry about animation speeds, effects etc.”

I’m all for camera angle diversity – in fact, some of my best friends are isometric. Personally though, I’m only as old school as shown at 0:34. Top-down’s a step too far for me.

The scene is the same as that pictured in the first released Wasteland 2 screenshot, depicting the Arizona desert in which the first chapter of the game will take place.

What’s it to be, gang? Close-up shoegazing, sensible isometric ‘90s nostalgia, or a Fargo-pleasing top-down view?
