The Witcher 2 receives price drop in time for mod tools

The Witcher 2: The Assassins of Kings has received a permanent price-drop, that’ll come in handy considering the mod tools that were on show at Gamescom and is on schedule for release next year. Information on how to get in on the beta below.

First up, those all important prices: $29.99/€29.99/GBP19.99/AUD29.99. Plus, those lovely fold over at GOG.com are offering an extra $10 game for those Euro-wielding folk as a means of providing price equality. Like I said, lovely folk.

We’ve written a little about the mod tools already, though that was before Gamescom. Since then we’ve learned that the tool set is more or less an entire open engine for developers. Think The Elder Scrolls Construction Set or UnrealEd. So, fingers crossed, we should be getting a wave of new modifications, expansions, and skill sets when the tools are let loose on us next year.

If you’re the type who can’t wait 12 short months then you may like to know more about the beta being offered by CD Projeckt RED. Type your details in here to get your hands on the REDkit early.
