Dataminers might have found the next Battle for Azeroth raid

World of Warcraft Zulzabar

Datamining of the latest World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth beta build suggests that the recently revealed zone of Zuldazar may host a new raid.

Think Battle for Azeroth is a weird left turn out of nowhere after Legion? You’re not the only one!

Yesterday Blizzard dropped an official preview of Zuldazar City, the capital of the Zandalari Trolls. Excitingly, the latest version of the ongoing Battle for Azeroth beta – build 26522 – contains a minimap with the title ‘ZulzadarRaid’. The map definitely looks like a raid layout, with some clear arenas dotted around the architecture.

Using capital cities as the location of dungeons and raids has become something of a WoW tradition, starting with Cataclysm’s Siege of Ogrimmar, and now continuing in Battle for Azeroth with the Siege of Boralus dungeon and this mysterious new Zulzadar raid.

Currently we only have official confirmation of one raid: Uldir, Halls of Control, a Titan-themed raid revolving around diabolic experiments with the Old Gods. Didn’t we learn our lesson in Ulduar with Yogg-Saron?

What could this Zulzadar raid feature? In terms of the lore timeline, the last seal preventing the Old God in Zulzadar from being released was already broken in Uldir, so could this be a story wrap-up smaller raid, or perhaps there’s more we don’t know! Could we see a return of Hakkar the Soulslayer? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
