World of Warships proudly sails into global open beta

World of Warships Open Beta

Wargaming’s Naval warfare simulator has entered the realms of open beta as of today. The open beta features more than 80 armed warships from both America and Japan, and ten maps for 12 vs 12 deathmatches.

“World of Warships’ Closed Beta was incredibly successful, surpassing even our high expectations,” said Daniil Volkov, World of Warships Development Director.

There were a total of 410,000 players that took part in the closed beta, but now Wargaming are ready for the masses. “We saw nearly half a million players spending an average of two hours in-game every day.” said Volkov. “From the positive and enthusiastic feedback we received, we are pleased to now welcome even more players into the Open Beta and can’t wait to hear their thoughts about the game. We believe that World of Warships has a very bright future ahead and is a fantastic addition to our famed series.”

Players who purchased pre-order packages will be credited, as well as any closed beta testers who applied their bundles during testing.

If you want to try World of Warships out, you can access the open beta right here for EU, and here for NA.
