When it comes to naval warfare, if your allegiance lies heavily with the water-bound torpedo wagons of the Imperial Japanese Navy, then World of Warships is for you. The game’s latest Naval Academy trailer is packed full of iron-hard facts about Japanese cruisers, and an awful lot of broadside action.
“The Japanese Cruisers are built to compete with their American counterparts. Versatile, quick, and packed with deadly cannons and torpedoes,” proclaims the video description, and that seems to be pretty accurate. These cruisers seem exceptionally nimble, and the various tiers all seem perfectly capable of blowing massive holes in other ships. I know nothing about WW2 naval combat, but it looks like the Japanese are pretty good at ships.
World of Warships is in Closed Beta. Sign up for boating action here.
