WoT Generals? Why, World of Tanks Generals of course, the collectible card game

World of Tanks Generals is a browser-based, free-to-play online collectible card game – and whatever you think about that, if you have a World of Tanks account, you’re already set up to play. So let’s take a look, shall we?

Players will mobilise units including but not limited to tanks – taken from a total of 220 different cards – in order to destroy enemy HQ. According to the official site, “strategy and tactics must be successfully utilized in order to win and with every single move straddling the line between victory and defeat, players must carefully plan their every action”.

From the looks of it, WoT Generals is to equal or even exceed the scale of its namesake, allowing players to take part in real-life historical scenarios from World War II or fight on a global map. The globewill be wrestled over by clans in seemingly lengthy tournaments, an idea which has an appealing Games Workshop-y ring to it.

Several single and multiplayer modes will be available, including PvP multiplayer matches, historical campaigns and the aforementioned multiple-scuffle global map mode. I really do like the sound of that one.

No release date forthcoming as yet, but you’ll be the first to know.
