Blizzard “updating” World of Warcraft character models

By MMO standards, World of Warcraft is becoming quite the elderly game. It’s age has been kept at bay by a judicious application of colour and style but even dab hand at the old aesthetics isn’t enough to keep its years from showing. So it’s welcome news that Blizzard have begun work on updating the games aged character models.

Answering questions in a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), Tom Chilton – WoW’s game director – was asked by Theclumsyninja “Whats the status on updating player character models?”. He replied “Actively working on updating character models! It’s a high priority for us.”

So, no date as to when they’ll roll out, nor which update they’ll appear in, but with the imminent release of Mists of Pandaria on the horizon Blizzard’s plates must be pretty full.
