The Mists of Pandaria intro cinematic has been revealed at GamesCom ahead of the WoW expansion’s launch next month on September 25. “It’s just like Kung Fu Panda!” is something you might say had you not been paying attention to its development for the last few years. But it really does look like Kung Fu Panda, and that’s fine because Kung Fu Panda is excellent, and so is this nugget of glorious CGI. The video is below.
This is probably the best Blizzard cinematic inwhich a panda beats up an orc, and treads that fine line between the absurdity of the Pandarenand the innate coolnessof kung fu trickery. Give it a watch.
