World of Warcraft Brawler’s Guild to see “exciting changes” in next patch via new bosses and Challenge Cards

If you’ve been absent from WoW for any length of time, you won’t know the Brawler’s Guild. Part advanced training ground, part bloodsport, the Guild allows players to develop their DPS against a variety of familiar bosses in arenas beneath Stormwind and Orgrimmar, while other players look on.

WoW patch 5.3 will see the Guild’s most significant shake up to date, say Blizzard, with the addition of two new tiers, a Challenge Card system, and a swanky VIP lounge.

The new tiers will enable Brawler’s Guild members to reach rank 10 via eight new bosses. Blizzard hint that the new boss fights will be “visually stimulating”, and sometimes come in twos.

“We don’t want to ruin the surprise and explain each fight, though, so it’ll be up to you to discover who these mighty foes are, and what they can do,” said Blizzard community manager Chad Wingerd. “Trust us, you’ll need plenty of Healing Potions.”

Challenge Cards will bring brawling out of the cities and into fields, forests and caves of wider Azeroth. Wherever you are in the world, these items can be used to open a quest and gain access to twelve new bosses via the command: “RETURN TO BRAWLER’S GUILD”.

Players will now also be able to revisit Guild fights by purchasing the relevant card from an NPC. “For those of you who’d love another shot at taking down Epicus Maximus, this will be your chance,” said Wingerd.

The VIP lounge, meanwhile, will only be open to highly-ranked members of the Guild. For the Alliance, it’ll be found behind the roped-off doorway overlooking Bizmo’s Brawlpub. Horde players will be hard pressed to miss the zeppelin parked at Brawl’gar Arena, which promises “refreshment and scenic view”.

Are you the grizzled sort to have exhausted all of the Guild’s bloody charms in its current state?
