Isn’t technology great? Back in the old days, when we churned butter with our Betamax recorders and sheered sheep with Walkmans, if we wanted to check up on our World of Warcraft accounts, chat with out buds, or monitor that final hour of the auction house bidding, we had to be at a computer. Then Blizzard released an app that let us do it from our phone wherever we may be – on the bus, shopping, awaking in an unfamiliar dumpster – and the world was happy. That is, except for the poor folk: some of the key features were locked behind a pay gate.
But now they can be happy too because the World of Warcraft mobile app – the “mobile armory” – is free for all those poor people…that have smart phones.
But, just what features were they?
Well, I kinda mentioned them in the above introduction, they were:
- Remote Guild Chat– Stay in touch with your guildmates on the go using your mobile phone.
- Remote Auction House– Bid on items, create auctions, and collect gold via your mobile device or through the official World of Warcraft website.
