It appears that 2K are gearing up to announce a new game in the XCom series. According to VG247, the name XCom: Enemy Within has appeared in two separate places – the Korean game ratings board.
Which is nice.
VG say that a man said they’re looking forward to making an announcement of something on the 21st August, co-incidentally, the first day of GamesCom. So it’s about as open a secret as you can get right now.
XCom was pretty much our favourite game of last year, and the thought of a sequel fills us with some, if not all, the cheer. I’d always wondered if the follow up would attempt X:Com’s original path, set under the sea like Terror From the Deep.
