Blazing Griffin announce Full Steam Ahead, sequel to The Ship

Comment

If you've been thinking it's too long since you last hunted about a cruise ship in search of an unwilling victim then you'll be happy to know that Blazing Griffin are hard at work on a sequel to The Ship. Details are sparse - well, non-existent really - other than the plan for a Kickstarter campaign to fund the project.

More on that below.

The Ship is a multiplayer game that breeds paranoia, assigning you a single foe on a cruise liner full of potential enemies, and since its release in 2006 there have been few games to capitalise on that experience. Till now, SpyParty is the closest thing in style that's in development.

"Till now" is the best bit of that last sentence (though SpyParty is looking amazing). Writing on their site, Blazing Griffin, publisher of The Ship, have announced that starting on 25 October they'll be running a Kickstarter campaign to fund the development of Full Steam Ahead, a fully fledged sequel to our favourite nautical nightmare.

To coax in that campaign they're filling October with events to get us in the mood (unfortunately, we're missed the first already):

Act I 5th - 7th of October A 75% off The Ship weekend through our own website (courtesy of those lovely people at Humble)

Act II
13th - 14th October The Ship sets sail for charity (with the Blazing Griffin team there to be "served")

Act III 25th October Blazing Griffin talks about Full Steam Ahead (On the launch day of our Kickstarter for this sequel to The Ship)

We'll bring you updates on the campaign later this month.
