Spare a few more coin: Kingdom Come developer returns to crowd-funding for better voice actors

Kingdom Come

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a pretty interesting RPG. Set in the 15th century, it blends the harshness of The Witcher with the period realism of Chivalry. It was Kickstarted earlier this year with a neat sum of over £1million, but developer Warhorse Studios are returning to the crowd again to secure additional funding to expand the horizons of the game.

They’re currently looking to top their funding up to the $2,000,000 point in order to hire good quality voice actors to ensure maximum immersion (and hopefully an authentic selection of ye olde accents).

Rather than returning to Kickstarter or any other crowd-funding site, the next set of funding is being undertaken at Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s main website. Donations are welcome to new and existing backers, with existing backer new pledges combining with their Kickstarter pledge, meaning more rewards if you increase your donation enough to hit the next tier.

If the $2,000,000 goal is met, voice actors will also be used for performance capture, making cutscenes just that little more life like.

If you want to pledge or increase your existing donation, take a look at Kingdom Come’s pledge page, where you’ll also find a breakdown of the reward tiers.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is due to release in Q4 of 2014.
