Bethesda open new studio, Battlecry; headed by former SWTOR executive producer

Bethesda, makers of The Elder Scrolls, the new Fallout games, and owner of Arkane Studios - who are currently leaning back on their chairs after finishing Dishonored - have opened a new studio in Austin, Texas. Heading up this new studio is Rich Vogel, formerly of Bioware where he worked as executive producer Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Details after the break.

Spotted by VG247, Bethesda have announced they are opening a new studio, Battlecry Studios to be precise, in Austin, Texas. They're currently looking for all the major development roles to be filled - art director, lead designer, senior programmers, and the like. The studio's first project hasn't been announced, but one role in particular suggests something of what they will be developing: monetization designer.

That coupled with Rich Vogel as the studio's head would suggest a free-to-play MMO. Vogel's an expert of the MMO field, producing Star Wars: The Old Republic, as well as working on Star Wars: Galaxies, and Ultima Online. This is all speculation though.
