Like wise and wizened masters in a foggy mountain-top temple, Sloclap and Devolver have decided we’re now ready to learn the fourth sacred combat style of Absolver. It’s called Stagger, and is the most unusual and unpredictable of the movesets yet revealed in the hyper-cool close combat game.
Watch a Stagger specialist at work in the new trailer and you’d be forgiven for thinking they’re taking damage, not giving it. The style sees combatants lurching about wildly, turning their back on their opponent before headbutting them… backwards? It’s a bit weird, you’d better watch.
