Last night Ubisoft pulled their upcoming releases from Steam globally. Assassin’s Creed Unity will be out on November 13 in Europe, Far Cry 4 on November 20, and The Crew on December 2. Just not on Steam.
We learned on Wednesday that Ubisoft’s upcoming games had been pulled from the UK Steam store. While they aren’t available on Steam, you can still buy Assassin’s Creed Unity, The Crew, and Far Cry 4 from other UK digital distributors.
Ubisoft are still selling their old games on Steam but if they did remove them from the Steam Store it wouldn’t be the first time. Anno 1701 was pulled from Steam back in March, 2013 and it hasn’t returned since. However, Anno 1404, which was also pulled, has returned to the store.
Hopefully Assassin’s Creed Unity, The Crew, and Far Cry 4 will appear on the Steam Store at some point in the future.
We’ve reached out to Ubisoft for comment and if they reply then we will update the post with their answers.
An ealier post stated that Ubisoft had just begun selling their games on Origin. LewieP pointed out this woefully incorrect. Ubisoft have been on Origin for months now, including preorders of their upcoming releases.
