BAFTA nominations: 43 games in with a chance of winning a golden Halloween mask in March

It’s almost the time of year when the British Academy of Film and Television Arts celebrates the cream of the video game crop by handing out a terrifying golden face. BAFTA has announced the nominations, with 43 games across 17 categories all in for a chance of winning the mask of nightmares and a dash of prestige. 

Although console titles like The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V have received nominations in what seems like almost every blooming category, PC gaming is far from being ignored. The excellent Stanley Parable and Papers, Please have received four nominations each.

The BAFTA Ones to Watch Award showcases the best in young games development and design and the finalists are Project Heera: Diamond Heist, Size DOES Matter and The Unknown.

The show will take place on March 12th, hosted by Dara O Briain for the umpteenth time, and you can catch it streamed live on Twitch.
