A premium Battlefield 1 map will be available to everyone very soon

DICE have announced that a premium Battlefield 1 map is being made free for everyone. Nivelle Nights, which was previously available only to owners of the game’s Premium Pass or They Shall Not Pass expansion, will become available in early November.

Nivelle Nights is the first Battlefield map to have focused on trench combat, and is fought between French and German troops. As you might have guessed from the name, it’s set at night, so the battlefield is lit by moonlight, searchlights, and flashes from artillery explosions.

That imminent but vague release date could mean that the map will be released alongside the new Operations Campaigns, which were delayed from their original October release date, and are intended to “expand the frontline clashes between attackers and defenders” across multiple operations.

The first Operation Campaign, Eastern Storm, combines the Brusilov Offensive and Red Tide operation, both of which are currently available in Battlefield 1’s In the Name of the Tsar expansion.
