Blade & Soul relocates to palatial Zaiwei for March 23 Silverfrost Mountains expansion

Blade & Soul

You imagine the protagonist in any revenge story is eager for resolution, but clearly Blade & Soul’s is the sort you savour – living with latent fury while you indulge in Crouching Tiger-tinged MMO combat. After the success of the Korean export’s Western launch, NCSoft are readying its first expansion for later this week, on Wednesday March 23rd.

How many of the best MMOs on the PC have you levelled your way through?

The Silverfrost Mountains are an entirely new continent, and host some of Blade & Soul’s most serious difficulty peaks. Endgame content comes in the form of eight new dungeons, the PvP Soulstone Plains, 24-member open world instances, and a continuation of the existing story for vengeance after the murder of the player’s master.

“From the verdant Primeval Forests to the icy peaks of Shiverstone Range, your dangerous and violent path of revenge is juxtaposed by beautiful and astounding backdrops,” say NCSoft.

The character level cap has jumped to 50, and the Hongmoon level to 10. Most enticing is the palatial mountain city of Zaiwei – a new base of operations with “broad thoroughfares and gold-leafed monuments”. Sounds lovely.
