MercurySteam, developers of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and its sequel, have surrendered their website to a semi-interactive teaser for an unannounced game.
Could it be set in space? Our list of PC's best space games certainly are.
The new sci-fi game was teased a while ago, with the site updating to say MercurySteam were off “exploring new worlds, fighting strange creatures, discovering new heroes”. It also had an image similar to the interactive piece of art that dominates their homepage today.
It's a cigar-puffing man in a tiny cockpit (just where are the health and safety workers when you need them?) stuffed with retro-futuristic dials, levers, a radar display, portholes and an analogue computer screen. It actually looks more like the inside of some kind of submersible than the cockpit of a spacecraft, but we shall see.
Clicking through to the computer screen will take you to three options: a link to the studio's other games, a message about the crew being in hibernation, and a countdown timer, presumably pointing to the proper reveal.
The countdown timer points to April 15, so expect more news then. In the meanwhile, why not head over to the site and have a look for yourself.
Any guesses as to what this is? Let us know in the comments.
