Company of Heroes 2 demo is a thing. I know, right?

Company of Heros 2 has been released; read our Company of Heroes 2 review to find out our verdict.

How quaint! Relic have been demoing Company of Heroes 2 to the public this week – or at least, the privileged slice of the public that gets to go to LA trade conventions – and have decided to release that same demo to the swarm beyond the six-storey billboards of E3. That means you.

But! You’ve only til Tuesday to play it.

Relic have cut out a few frames from the middle of CoH2’s single player campaign: a mission named ‘The Land Bridge to Leningrad’. You’ll need to navigate your way across a frozen lake under insistent fire from the Germans. If you can do so without getting at least one tank very cold and wet, I’ll eat my Soviet issue rock-hard beret.

I’m afraid you’ll need to have signed up to the current open beta on Steam to get involved. And yes, that means the demo will disappear when the beta does – Tuesday June 18. Fortunately, the full game is released a week later, on June 25.

Let us know how you get on, eh?

Thanks, PC Gamer.
