The tournament is UK-only, but open to amateur talent, for those of you who’ve been waiting to break into esports. It will play out over six months, with eight qualifying stages to be followed by a two-month league, culminating in a two-day finals event. All the action will be shown via the OMEN Europe Twitch channel.

“With the launch of the OMEN UK Open, HP is celebrating the competitive spirit that drives grassroot gamers across Britain,” says George Brasher, HP managing director for the UK and Ireland. “We know that enthusiast gamers need the best equipment and competitions to reach their goals and showcase their talent. The OMEN UK Open is a unique opportunity for HP to provide this platform and support the expansive UK CS:GO community.”

If casting is more your thing, there’s a contest for you, too: the OMEN UK Open Community Caster Challenge. You’ll compete with other commentators over action from the qualifying and league stages, with a chance to win $2,500 worth of OMEN products and the opportunity to cast at the finals.

The qualifiers start on April 15, and both teams and solo players are eligible to apply. The final weekend is scheduled on November 17-18.
