Paradox will bring their games to a new platform: your table. The publishers’ new board game line will see series like Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis, and Cities: Skylines, taking those strategic titles out of the digital realm and into the physical.
The first project going into production will be Crusader Kings. The game will feature cards and miniatures to help bring the grand strategy series to life, complete with all the military, religious, and political intrigue you could hope for. The teaser trailer below also suggests support for horse marriage, because Paradox games are all about choice.

Crusader Kings will be built in partnership with Free League Publishing, who are known for tabletop titles like Mutant Year Zero and Tales from the Loop RPG, and is currently available to back on Kickstarter – a fairly common procedure for tabletop publishers looking to gauge interest in new projects.
Further board game projects will come from a variety of other “very known and very talented” publishers in the space, and Crusader Kings will be followed up with further physical adaptations based on Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, and Cities: Skylines.
