BioWare teases Dragon Age 4 news for sooner than you think

Dragon Age 4's release date might still be years away, but developer BioWare has already started teasing us.

EA only recently warned that Dragon Age 4’s release date could still be years away, but now developer BioWare has started teasing us all about the highly anticipated RPG. The studio tweeted over the weekend about the tenth anniversary of the Dragon Age series – before stating, “See you on December 4 for Dragon 4ge Day!”

Dragon Age Day is the series’ annual community day, but we assume writing ‘Age’ with a number four was not an accident. It’s unclear what the studio will reveal on December 4, if anything – but to tweet that and then not say anything about the upcoming fourth game in the series would surely be cruel?

Only last week publisher EA spoke about Dragon Age 4’s development. “You should assume that there’s Dragon Age out there, we’ve talked about it publicly that it’s in the works – it probably comes after fiscal [year] 2022,” stated the company’s chief financial officer, Blake Jorgensen.

Fiscal year 2022 runs from April 2021 through March 2022, so we’ll probably have a lengthy wait for Dragon Age 4 – but at least it’s looking closer to two years than three.

The last game in the series was 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition, meaning we could be looking at around an eight-year gap between entries.
