How do you get a Dragon’s Dogma 2 house? If you find that you’re hemorrhaging gold at the local town’s inn, we have some good news. You can buy at least two houses, one in Vernworth and one in Battahl, with a bed and storage chests to stash your well-earned loot.
Since you’ll be resting quite often in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and it’s not always possible to sleep outside, having a safe place for you and your Dragon’s Dogma 2 pawns to snooze is paramount. Another reason to buy your property rather than stay at inns or camp outside of town is that those you help in quests occasionally give you items via the satchel on the door. Who doesn’t love free stuff? It’s the perfect place to prepare as you complete Dragon’s Dogma 2 quests, so here is how you can get a house in both Vernworth and Bakbattahl.
How to get the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Vernworth house
As you wander around Vernworth around the back of the pub, you’ll come across a woman named Mildred who will flag you down. She wants someone to mind the house while she is away for a week. She only asks that your name be listed as a tenant and doesn’t expect you to maintain the property. She’ll mark the location on the map, beginning the A Place to Call Home side quest.
Her house is in the Residential District close to the Slums, so head for the marker and talk to Mildred. If you agree to live on her property, she’ll thank you and set off on her vacation. The only thing you need to do is sleep in bed for seven days. Upon exiting the front door the following morning, Mildred will greet you. She had such a good time while away that she now wishes to relocate but needs to sell the house first. You can then buy the house from Mildred for 20,000 gold.
How to get the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Bakbattahl house
Bakbattahl’s hotels are extortionately expensive, so if you don’t want to spend excessive amounts of money, there’s a house you can buy immediately after setting foot into the city. Pass by the flagship inn and turn to go toward the Residential Ward. As you turn the corner to the right, a woman will stop you and offer to sell you her home for 30,000 gold. If you decide to buy it, you’ll warp to the front entrance to your new home in Bakbattahl, which is in the Residential Ward just above the Rare Books shop.
With your Dragon’s Dogma 2 houses now bought and moved into, you have a haven from all the dangerous Dragon’s Dogma 2 enemies, and it won’t cost a single gold coin to sleep in. PCGN has also compiled all of the best Dragon’s Dogma 2 vocations and ranked them in order of usability, so you might want to consult the nearby Rift Stone if you’d like to change up your party.
