Everything we know ahead of Microsoft’s E3 2017 press conference

It’s the first of the big console creator E3 shows tonight, with Microsoft taking to the stage. The big news, presumably, will be a whole bunch of Project Scorpio details, but there’s certainly going to be more than a few announcements for upcoming PC bits and bobs.

If you’re finding it hard to keep up, we’ve got a schedule for all of the E3 conferences for you.

As Xbox One games are meant to come under the Play Anywhere scheme in the future, there may be more PC news than usual – as long as they keep to that promise, Windows 10 should be getting all of the Xbox One games announced at some point.

The games we can expect to see are Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3, Forza Motorsport 7, Cuphead, and BioWare’s next game Anthem.

Anything from Bethesda or Ubisoft is probably getting its own big announcement at their own conferences, but it’s not entirely impossible that we’ll see a teaser if Xbox One or PC are getting some exclusive bits.

The event may hold something for Halo fans too: 343 are showing something at E3 related to Halo, but it’s not Halo 6. On the subreddit just over a month ago, Brian Jarrad said that there should be some “nice little tidbits for the future of the franchise” coming around now – what that is, we have no idea, and who knows if it will be coming to PC, or if it’s even going to be a game.

Some people were expecting the next Tomb Raider game, but that’s supposedly missed out on an E3 reveal for reasons which we’re not quite sure of.

Xbox VR is also not going to be shown, Alex Kipman confirmed to Polygon just a few days ago. The focus, going on some of the descriptions on their YouTube teasers, seems to be 4K video, as you’ll be able to watch it in 4K on YouTube or Mixer.

We’ll have all of the PC-specific details from the conference up as soon as they’re announced, but you’ve at least got some time to get settled in for it. It’s aiming to start at 14:00 PDT/17:00 EDT/22:00 BST/23:00 CEST, and should last about two hours.

Until then, you can always jump in Twitch chat, there’s some people already chatting in there.
