Fear-to-play: F.E.A.R. Online launching on Steam next month

F.E.A.R. Online

F.E.A.R. was pretty bloody spooky. It was okay, though, because you could pin enemies to walls and riddle them with bullets. But what’s more scary than F.E.A.R. is a Korean free-to-play multiplayer spin-off. Warner Bros. and MMO publisher Aeria Games announced it last year, and now it has made its way onto Steam in preparation for an October 17th launch.

Terrifying.

Little girls! Crawling things! Blinding strobe effects! The teaser trailer from last year certainly looks like F.E.A.R. Horror is a bit tricky in multiplayer, but microtransactions are absolutely terrifying, so that could balance things out.

There was a beta back in May, though it somehow passed me by. Did any of you lovely people check it out back then?

I’ve been thinking of giving the entire series another playthrough, as I do love it dearly, but may have to free up some time to see if this new-fangled spin-off is worth throwing into the mix.
