It’s January 4 depending on what portion of the globe you’re on, and if you’re among the true hardcore of wrestling fans, you know it’s nearly Tokyo Dome time. But ahead of all those Wrestle Kingdom showdowns, New Japan Pro Wrestling had another announcement to make: they’re going to be an official part of Fire Pro Wrestling World.

NJPW wrestlers will be coming as DLC for the game alongside the PlayStation 4 release later this year. We don’t know who all will be included, but Kazuchika Okada, Togi Makabe, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito, Kenny Omega, and Ryusuke Tagushi are all on the official promotional image.

With Fire Pro’s extensive character creator and Steam Workshop support, you might be wondering why you’d actually buy a selection of licensed characters. This DLC will also include a career mode that has you start off as a rookie Young Lion on a journey to reach the top of the company, and you’ll meet New Japan’s roster both in and out of the ring along the way.

A management mode will be the game’s first major piece of DLC, announced alongside the 1.0 release a few weeks ago, and the NJPW content with career mode will follow that later in the year. The game’s currently available for $13.39 / £10.04 / €13.39 as part of the Steam winter sale, but it will see a permanent price increase following the sale’s end tomorrow.
