Race around the Nürburgring in a Caterham in Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Premium Edition

Forza Motorsport 6 Apex is getting new content with the launch of its Premium Edition. It’s out today and includes new cars and a new track – Germany’s famous Nürburgring.

This has been a great year for racing games so far. Here are ten of the best racing games on PC in 2016.

The announcement comes via developer Turn 10 Studios in a post on the Xbox Wire. The premium edition bundle will include the full version of Apex plus two new car packs and a track pack, the contents of which are outlined below.

The ‘Power to Weight’ car pack adds seven new cars, all with a high power-to-weight ratio, so expect such flimsy buckets strapped to rockets as the 2013 Caterham Superlight R500, the 2013 KTM X-Bow R, the 2013 SRT Viper GTS, the 2016 Ford Mustang GT350R and others.

The ‘Hyper Endurance’ car pack adds a different seven cars made for long-distance racing, including but not limited to the 2016 #66 Ford Racing GT LeMans, the 2013 Lamborghini Veneno, and the 2015 Koenigsegg One:1.

Finally, the Nürburgring track pack adds Rainbow Road – I’m sorry, I mean the Nürburgring – in three configurations: the Nordschleife and technical GP circuits, as well as the massive combined full circuit. All three circuits will have day, night and wet conditions, and can be raced in free play or in several new Spotlight events.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex is a free-to-play version of the full-fat Forza Motorsport 6, which is presently exclusive to Xbox. Additional content can be purchased for Apex via microtransactions, which includes stuff like this. You can get the free version at the Windows Store here. Upgrading to the premium edition will set you back $16.99 US.
