Grand Theft Auto Online will soon let you run nightclubs, spicing up your business propositions throughout Los Santos. Your nightlife options will get far more expansive when the nightclub update launches in July, letting you get into the “honest work” of management.
You’ll be able to run nightclub businesses “from setup, design, staffing and promotion,” with more popular clubs naturally earning more money. Rockstar says these operations can be covers for your existing illegal business, strongly hinting at some sort of money laundering mechanic, though exactly what that means in gameplay terms is unclear. More details are on the way ahead of the update’s launch, including the promise of some “exclusive rewards.”

The official announcement also mentions a “well-known, well-connected and somewhat financially sound impresario,” which fans are speculating to be the same Gay Tony whose ballad we heard back in the GTA4 days – that sure looks like him at the end of the trailer. We’re also promised new sets from Solomun, Tale Of Us, Dixon and The Black Madonna to help bring the club scene to life.
