While Colin Johanson might say that Guild Wars 2 is going to get constant free updates, for the moment ArenaNet are just making sure everything is working as intended, and being really rather aggressive with their bug iron, forcing every kink to be a lovely smooth line. Guild Wars 2 has been patched, and there are notes.
After the jump. You can do it!
Amid a range of bug fixes that fixed issues with map glitches and broken events, ArenaNet have also made sure that Asuran’s point the right way when they shoot guns, which is better for everyone. I like to think they had to explain it to the Asuran elders, to disseminate among the troops, but the truth of it just being a line of code is slightly more likely.
There have been some balance changes, one of the most major being that Retaliation no longer reflects damage received from seige weapons in World vs World, which, considering how much damage they put out, is probably for the best. The Warrior, Mesmer, Thief and Engineer have also had a few tweaks to a few skills, the most notable being, and I’m just going to have to quote verbatim here:
“Rocket Boots: This skill is no longer usable underwater. This is a temporary change until we can figure out why players can launch themselves into the sky using this skill.”
Which seems a bit of a shame. I like the idea of Engineers spontaneously lifting off out of all the lakes of Tyria, as if to make their homes among the stars. Maybe one day.
