Massacre folk across six new maps and two new modes in Zombies Monsters Robots’ beta update

Hazard Ops update

Downright bonkers multiplayer shooter, Zombies Monsters Robots (known as Hazard Ops in Europe), has been in closed beta for a fortnight, and has just received its first major content update. Charmingly, it’s been named “Massacre”.

Six new maps have been added to the list, along with two new PvP modes. If you’re not in the beta, and that’s keeping you up at night as you soak your pillow in tears, then you’ll be pleased to hear that Infernum is sending out more keys. You can still sign up here, too.

The six new maps run the gamut from a dirty freight train to a lovely Italian town – all just waiting to be covered in blood and viscera and maybe a few zombie or dinosaur limbs. The new modes will be available on these maps, as well as most of the original ones.

Deathmatch is pretty self explanatory: kill everyone. And once you’ve done that, kill them again. “Cooperation is thrown out the window upon entering a Deathmatch lobby,” Infernum says. “No more cross-fire, no more strategies and no more allies – only foes. It’s a total free-for-all and only the most skilled will rise and shine above the fallen.”

Defusion requires a bit more cooperation. One team’s carrying a bomb, which is bad, because they’re keen to make it go boom. The other team is, of course, tasked with defusing said bomb to halt the catastrophe. There will also no doubt be a lot of shooting and killing between this.

Zombies Monsters Robots is doing the Founder pack thing, offering skins and guns and kitchen sinks along with guaranteed access to the beta.
