Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a great-looking game on its own merits, but it looks like it’s got plenty to offer in the “trippy” department too.

The latest trailer for Ninja Theory’s upcoming action game, which follows a Viking shield-maiden and her bouts of psychosis, looks positively freaky. That’s a good thing. Some of the most disturbing plights ever have come from deep within the soul and this trailer proves that as it highlights the horrors Senua must feel on a regular basis.
There’s also some weird-looking baby thing that’s terrorising Senua in the trailer, and that can’t be good news at all, can it?
Despite this bit of freakiness (or because of it, if you enjoy the gruesome like me) it’s worth checking out the trailer to get a taste of what to expect when the game releases on August 8, for the retail price of $29.99.
