Game director of Heroes of the Storm Dustin Browder has said that Blizzard’s MOBA will soon receive a mode similar to Hearthstone’s Tavern Brawl.
Prefer classic Hearthstone to a Brawl? Here are some of the best Hearthstone decks you can build.
A tweet in reply to a fan asking whether the trialled version of an Arena mode in the game will end up more like the Brawls in Blizzards other games, like Hearthstone and Overwatch, suggests that will be the case.
Yes, the Arena mode we talked about last Blizzcon has morphed in this direction. https://t.co/vDf9acp5c5

Arena mode, in the version trialled at BlizzCon last year, consisted of randomly selected heroes with quicker death timers and a much faster pace of action.
In a follow-up tweet, Browder stressed that the mode is not vastly different: “What you played is not gone. Will just have more stuff too.”
Hearthstone’s Brawl, which changes a set of deck-building or game-playing parameters each week, is fast becoming Blizzard’s ace in the hole as Overwatch is also getting its own version.
While Hearthstone’s Brawls offer rewards for winning, Overwatch has yet to integrate an incentive, though HotS may choose to also reward players with in-game items or currency.
