We’ve not scene a frame of footage from Frictional’s next game, SOMA, but its premise is already more enticing than most games on the upcoming release calendar. It revolves around a machine which stores a human consciousness. It doesn’t know its a machine and it’s eerie as hell to watch it meet its living body counterpart.
We don’t yet know how SOMA’s teaser videos tie up to the game proper. Maybe you’ll join the story long after the inevitable machine led massacre or maybe you will be the crewmember who finds their consciousness mimicked by the machine and you’ll have to deal with the consequences of being copied.
I want to know more but Frictional are remaining tight-lipped on the issue.
