The League of Legends World Championship final is expected to sell out Seoul’s massive Sangam Stadium, says Riot’s Dustin Beck.
The Championship’s stages will play out across four different cities, with the final taking place in South Korea on October 19th. And it looks like you might have to be fast if you want a ticket.
Sangam Stadium normally has a capacity of 65,000, but with Riot’s modifications that number will be 45,000.
“We do expect to sell out,” Beck said. “Our early ticket sales have all sold out. We’re trying to create more capacity and flexibility, but so far so good.”
Last year, the finals were held in the Staples Center, in Los Angeles, and while it sold out too, the capacity was only 12,000. Which is still a lot of people watching League of Legends in person.
Riot also expects to get more viewers online this year, after hitting 32 million in 2013.
Are any of you lovely lot hoping to get a ticket?
Cheers, Polygon.
